Rainy day= museum and fair

So the day started out overcast and raining, so we decided to reschedule our bike tour, and go to the Annie Leibowitz exhibit instead. Once we got there the day started to turn around, the sun came out, and it was a beautiful day. After that a group of us went on our first solo adventure to West Berlin to see a church that was bombed out and to eat lunch. Later that evening part of the group went to see a carnival.

Sunday we had our walking tour with Lisa. We started on the east side of Berlin and walked to Check Point Charlie. Hearing the history and the things Lisa had to say really out things into perspective. Watching Good Bye Lenin and The Lives of Others before coming on the trip really helped me understand what people went through after the construction of the wall. Hearing the stories of people who successfully got past the wall was cool too. Think the Italian job, but through a Russian Check point!

Here are some of my favorite photos from the past two days:

  1. Hi! I like your photos a lot. To me, the last 2 are the best. Also the Segway photo has some interesting layering potential. Did you pay the 1 Euro for the photo with those two military fellows? Looks like you are having a good time! :) Sehr gut!
