June is officially adopt a cat month, and since I have been staying at my mom's I decided to go along as a volunteer at the event held in hopes of finding cats a loving home. Between 7-10 Friday night they managed to adopt out 10 cats, which is a pretty good turnout. My job was to photograph the people with their new cats if they wanted a photograph of their new pet. Here are a few images from the night.

Through the double lens
Now that I've made it back to Gainesville I had a chance to take my film to Harmons and get my 120 film developed. Here are some images I took in Berlin, and two from the Zoo in Tampa.
A double exposure of Ali and me infront of the East Side Gallery in Berlin.
Lauren and Kelly in front of the Soviet War Memorial.

Lowry Park Zoo
Today we decided to go to the Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa, though the weather was hot and humid, I did get to see some of my favorite animals. I even got licked by one!

Home Sweet Home
So after a very long day of flying, I finally made it home at midnight on Thursday. After giving out all my souveniers I headed to bed. I spent most of Friday sleeping on the couch, only waking up to eat food. Oh how I love American food. But... there are too things I was going to miss, so I went to Publix to see what I could find.
Luckily we found some familiar beer at Publix.
And learned how to make crepes from some web how to videos. Yum!

Adventure in Potsdam
So on Sunday I spend the day with Lauren and Kelly biking through Potsdam, a city outside of Berlin, with Blakley our Fat Tire Bike Tour guide. It was such an unexpected experience, I had no idea what Potsdam would be like, and it was beautiful.
Photo credit goes to Blakley, this is his idea of a touristy photo.
This temple was built to represent Asian architecture.
We took a few minutes to photograph this field of yellow flowers.
The size of the courtyard and palace was indescribable!
The stairs leading up to the Sanssouci Palace. I had to run up those so I could see the top and make it back to the group in time! What a work out!
Me infront of the Sanssouci Palace.
We got to bike along beautiful tree lined streets, and along side the river. Potsdam was a great place for a bike tour.
Potsdam has a lot of buildings inspired by different areas in Europe, this street was built to look like the Netherlands.
This garden is part of a garden that was inspired by the Epyptians Its hard to tell from these two photos but there was a sphinx statue inside.
A beautiful mistake. I love it when this happens!
The Front of the Cecilienhof Palace.
Though Potsdam wasn't damaged too bad during WWII a lot of the buildings are still undergoing reconstruction.

stuff I like about Berlin, cont.
12. Crepes, specifically Nutella and Banana
13. Grapefruit beer, and leaving bottles anywhere you'd like, bc someone will recycle them.
14. Ampelmann, and mini coopers
15. Trying new food, and liking it
16. shopping! duh!
The last couple days we spent visiting different districts and shopping around. We went to Fassbender and Rausch (a huge chocolate shop & restaurant), the Onitsuka Tiger Store, Big Brobot, and other boutiques. It has rained a little bit off and on, but we haven't let that stop us yet! Tomorrow we are off to the flea market and at 6 I will be meeting with Blakely to get audio for my project.
